Our tour will begin in Rome, after meeting with your expert English-speaking driver/guideat your hotel reception. Leaving Rome in a southerly direction, we take the “Highway of the Sun” with one stop on the journey for breakfast. Our first stop will be in POMPEII, an archaeological site, where our local English speaking expert guide will show in a 2 hours walking tour the most fascinating places like the Forum, Thermal Baths, Lupanare burnt by volcanic ashes and lapilli during the eruption in 79 A.D. You have the opportunity to discover the everyday life of the Imperial age, the areas where the Romans would gather to have dinner and wine, some of the homes of wealthy citizens, you’ll learn about their good and bad morals and their way of life, and imagine the panic of the people before the city was so disastrously buried.   

After leaving Pompeii, we will head towards the Amalfi and Sorrento coast which is considered by the National Geografic one of the best road in the world. the Amalfi coast is unique in the world and we will have different scenic photo stops. On the way to our first destination, Positano, we will make a stop for lunch at one of the most acclaimed Restaurants with suggestive sea view at a scenic viewpoint close to Sorrento.

We’ve chosen for you the two best towns of the Amalfi coast. After lunch we will take you, weather permitting, to visit the enchanting Grotta dello Smeraldo (Emerald Cave “Praia Mare”). This awesomely beautiful cave is named for the color reflected in the water and offers many fascinating geological structures where you can also have a sight of the famous Nativity of Christ. Continuing on the Amalfi tour, you will appreciate, and purchase if you like, the world famous Pottery and the town of Positano and Amalfi. If you don’t visit these two towns you can’t say you’ve seen the beautiful Amalfi Coast.

In these towns, Positano and Amalfi, our professional English-speaking guide (are not included in the tour price and need to be booked in advance), will give you information on the area and places to visit and will then allow you free time to enjoy any of them. At the end of this unforgettable tour, return to the Eternal City of Rome.
